Ignace Jang

Director

A dedicated educator, Ignace “Iggy” Jang has spent much of his time ensuring the success of future generations through his various endeavors. “It is the time you have lost for your flower that makes her so important”, says St. Exupéry’s Little Prince. Jang tries to honor these words in his teachings year-round, to students from all walks of life. The former director of the Hawaiʻi Performing Arts Festival String Program, Jang is currently overseeing the Solo & String Quartet portion of the Pacific Music Institute, run by the Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony.

Iggy is the concertmaster of the Hawaiʻi Symphony and Britt Festivals orchestras, and a faculty member of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, the Punahou School, and 'Iolani School. He has performed throughout the United States, South America, Asia and Europe to critical acclaim.
