The 2019 Hawaiʻi State Music Competition (formerly HMTA Junior Artist) will be held October 26 - November 11, 2019 at the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa Music Department.

The 2019 competition is open to Piano, Violin, Low String (Viola, Cello, Bass) and Woodwind (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone) students aged 5-18. This year, $200 cash prizes will be awarded to the first-place winners in each of the four Young Artist divisions.

Applications will become available on July 15, 2019.

All competitions will be held at the UH Manoa Music Department (2411 Dole Street). At the Honors Concert, all First Place winners will perform and other award winners will be recognized.
