Biography
Dr. Kevin Priebe holds a Doctorate degree in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He studied abroad at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and regularly attended the Mannes Beethoven Institute in New York City. He also trained with faculty from Juilliard, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Curtis Institute of Music. His performance career spans international stages and prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall.
Dr. Priebe taught piano as a full-time professor at both public and private universities. His students have participated in international piano competitions and have gone on to study at prestigious graduate schools. Dr. Priebe attended law school while working as a full-time professor of piano. He now works full-time in the legal field while continuing to teach a limited number of private students in Honolulu.
Students consistently praise Dr. Priebe's clear, patient, and systematic teaching style. He teaches an effortless technique grounded in principles of relaxation and gravity.
