About the Artists

Better known as the concertmaster of the Hawaii Symphony and a classical music performer, violinist Iggy Jang wanted to offer something “outside the box.” “During my youth in Paris, I lived to see many colors abound: cultural, human, historical, gastronomical...” Although Tango originated in Argentina, it was present in the streets of Paris; Astor Piazzolla actually spent some time there to hone his composition skills. “It has always been my desire to pay homage to the genre, through Piazzolla’s original instrumentation: piano, violin, bass, electrical guitar, and most of all, bandoneon. Tango offers extraordinary colors, and like all music, it is about telling a story.”

Fernanda Ghi + Guillermo Merlo are one of the most prominent couples in the world of Argentine Tango. They are renowned for their elegant style, unique interpretation, creative choreography and powerful command of the stage.
